Amy Connell suffered a disappointing first round defeat at the World Karate Championships in Budapest.
The two-time European Championships medallist from Glasgow was up against 2021 European champion, Anna Chernysheva of Russia, who was competing under a neutral banner, with the Scot going down 2-0 in the -55kgs kumite category.
