Team GB have been winning numerous medals in the taekwondo over the past couple of days, but who is the Scottish voice providing the commentary?

On a day already penned 'Magic Monday' due to an early goldrush for Team GB, there is more action on the taekwondo mats.

Commentary throughout the tournament has been provided by Scot John Cullens, who has been commended for his excellence.

Here's everything you need to know about the Scottish commentator.

Who is the BBC's Scottish taekwondo commentator?

John Cullen is the Scot behind the BBC Olympic taekwondo commentary.

A former taekwondo fighter himself, he competed on the international stage before becoming a commentator across various sports for the BBC.

Aside from his media career, he is also a lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University in tourism events and sport.

He has been lauded for his accessible commentary throughout the Olympic taekwondo tournament, making the sport more understandable for new-comers, which is no mean feat considering the speed at which the competitions move.

Having commentated many events across the years, his popular performance in Tokyo this year means we will likely be seeing more of Cullen at sporting events.
