This week Herald Social's at the Scottish Athletics and Jog Scotland Awards at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow and the CEMVO Ethnic Awards in Glasgow's Marriot Hotel.
Olympians and Paralympians were toasted by
a 400-strong audience for their achievements in Rio following a remarkable year for the sport.
Scotland’s’s top clubs, coaches, volunteers and officials were also recognised for the contribution made by all to continuing success in the field at an event presided over by guest of honour and retired GB Olympian Derek Redmond.
More than 500 people attended to recognise, reward and celebrate those making a difference in the ethnic minority voluntary sector.
Presented by Ae Fond Kiss actor Atta Yaqub and CEMVO’s head of operations and resources Shasta Asghar, winners on the night included Annmarie Fowler for Overcoming Adversity and Sinita Oujla for Young Role Model.
