The Oasis store in Dundee's Overgate has launched its new Victoria & Albert inspired floral print collection as it welcomes the opening of the V&A Design Museum in 2018.

The collection is inspired by 18th and 19th century botanic prints in exhibitions from the iconic London museum, and styled into modern day must-haves such as  relaxed kimono jackets, wide-leg high-waisted pants, floaty culottes and razor sharp A-line midi skirt.

Oasis Print Manager Daisy Spurrier said: "It’s been really inspiring to work with such beautifully painted florals and to imagine someone spending hours hand-painting them all those years ago."

In an additional collaborative twist, the collection also includes printed flip flops from Gandys, the footwear brand setup by two brothers who were orphaned in the 2004 tsunami. 10% of profits from all flip flops sold will be donated back to the brothers’ Orphans for Orphans charity that builds Children’s Homes across the globe.

The £80 million V&A Museum of Design, which will open at the Dundee's waterfront in 2018, will celebrate Scotland's history of design and also host touring exhibitions from the London V&A.
