Kinsey Sicks on their new show, LAdy C**ks of Bang Boys.

1 Tell us about your Fringe show

TRIXIE: The Kinsey Sicks, America’s Favorite Dragapella® Beautyshop Quartet, return to The Fringe with ‘Lady C**ks of Bang Boys”, featuring our unique combination of sharp comedy, over the top drag, and glorious four-part harmony. This year, the audience has the special privilege to determine which of our appalling original tunes or unforgivable parodies are so outstandingly bad that the next audience should not see them! Come enjoy the show, and judge whether a song lives or dies.

2 Best thing about the Fringe?

Trampolina: That there are shows potentially worse than ours.

3 Worst thing about the Fringe?

Trampolina: If our show turns out to be one of the best.

Rachel: That there are so many other shows at 9:30pm that are actually worth going to.

4 How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

Rachel: This will be our second year!  Deciding to return was a difficult decision — although people in Scotland have repeatedly urged us not to come back, far more Americans are begging us to get as far as possible from the USA.  Sadly, the North Korean Festival Fringe was already booked.

5 Favourite Fringe venue?

Trampolina: The Gilded Balloon, duh! They have a fantastic staff of people who know how to have fun under all the pressure and lack of sleep. It could also be a combination of the drinking and pills.
6 Best Fringe memory?

WINNIE: My favourite memory so far… After doing a show at 11pm at Gilded Balloon, we had arranged to do a taping with a bunch of other comic talent for a tv show up in Leith at 2am in the morning, which didn’t wrap until after 4am. We were absolutely delirious and knackered, but upon arriving back to our flat near Arthur’s Seat, we got to witness the sun starting to rise, framing the entire crag with rose-blue sky. It was absolutely glorious. Then we passed out, in our makeup, on the street.

7 Best heckle?

Trampolina: I think the best heckle I ever heard was “You look like a man!” Thanks, mom.

8 Craziest on stage experience?

WINNIE: Getting the entire audience of the Edinburgh Playhouse to boo our act at the Forth on the Fringe gala last year. What a rush!

 9 What’s on your rider?

WINNIE: A saddle, and a kickline with the Lesbians of Leith Highland dancing troup

TRIXIE: No refunds.

Rachel: I love pretty much anything on Winona Rider, but I especially appreciate the Beetlejuice tattoo.

10 How do you wind down after a show?

Rachel: Sex with anyone who is willing to write a half-decent review
11 What do you love about Scotland?

TRIXIE: The accent. I can't take more than a month of hearing that sexy brogue.

Trampolina: The weather. Like Donald Trump, I find it to be unpredictable and more often than not, a little bit depressing.

12 What do you like about Edinburgh?

Trampolina: I love the community of Edinburgh. The people who live there have to deal with a whole month of actors, singers, jugglers, burlesque artists, mimes, drag queens – an entire assortment of performance art. I think any city that can handle all of that is pretty damn special and welcoming.

WINNIE: The majestic buildings, charming people, and wee pubs. Other than being really old, it’s refreshing to experience a place so different from Rachel.

13 What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve done?

WINNIE: Enjoying a Scottish breakfast with a pint at a punk-ish pub.

14 What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

WINNIE: It would seem the bawdier the better when it comes to tickling the Scottish funny bone. They also seem to love a good pun.

Rachel: Pretty much anything if you don’t take away their beer.

15 Favourite joke?

Rachel: Nigel Farage

16 Favourite Scottish food/drink?

WINNIE: A botanical Islay gin, paired with tatties and vegan haggis

TRIXIE: Haggis with a side of Richard Madden and a tall glass of Gerard Butler.

Rachel: James McAvoy

Kinsey Sicks: Lady C**ks of Bang Boys is on at the Gilded Balloon Teviot until August 29.
