MTV returned to Glasgow with a bang last night as the music channel brought their Live Lockdown to the city.

Fans got the chance to get up close and personal with Sigma, Example and Slaves as they performed on a coliseum style stage set during filming for the show, which took place at the SECC.

It is the first time that the Live Lockdown has been filmed outside London.

The show will be broadcast across MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels, MTV Music and MTV Live HD on October 30.

Club MTV also held an after party at the newly opened Saint Luke's in Glasgow's East End, which included DJ sets from Example, R3Wire and Varski.

Sigma kicked off proceedings at the Live Lockdown performing a hit filled set for fans.

UK rap hitmaker Example had the crowd bouncing along as he performed tracks including Changed The Way You Kiss Me, One More Day and All The Wrong Places before Slaves took to the stage for a high octane performance.

The show ended with Slaves crowdsurfing over fans after being invited on stage by the band for their last track.

Glasgow previously played host to MTV's EMAs in 2014 with artists including Nicki Minaj performing at the SSE Hydro.

The first season of MTV Live Lockdown was held in London and featured big name acts including Fall Out Boy, Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre & Lawson.
